(referred to “DWS” for the purposes of this statement) takes the privacy and confidentiality of our clients, employees, potential employees and website users very seriously. We have developed this Privacy Statement to clearly define our ongoing commitment to protecting privacy rights and to inform you of the policies and practices we have in place relating to the management of personal information associated with our website. It does not include an individual’s business contact information, including the individual’s name, company/entity name, role/title description, business classification (i.e. public/private/charity), cellphone/telephone/fax number.

Without prejudice to any disclosure of information made compulsory by competent authorities and only to the extent such disclosure is required by law, Personal Data you provide to DWS may be shared, consistent with applicable law and in accordance with the purposes each time served, as follows:

  • With DWS departments, including representatives and employees, as necessary. For instance, Personal Data of newsletters subscribers shall be shared with DWS teams that are responsible for communications & marketing. Usage Data shall be processed by DWS’s IT group.
  • With third parties and third-party business providers that provide services to DWS, such as companies that provide services for employee recruitment, IT-related services, or marketing-related services.
  • With a third party in the event of a sale, merger, reorganization, or other transaction involving part or all of DWS.

DWS will only collect, use or disclose your Personal Information with your consent except where we are authorized or required by law to do so without consent. DWS will use and disclose Personal Information only for the purposes for which it was collected, unless you consent to an alternative use.

All service providers to DWS will use Personal Data only for the purposes identified in this notice and will provide services under a contract which restricts use of information to that which is necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements.

DWS may provide your information to third parties in situations where: (i) you have given your consent, (ii) the third parties are our suppliers or agents who assist us in serving you, or (iii) DWS is required or permitted to do so by law or applicable regulations to comply with a court order, subpoena, or warrant issued by a court or other body with appropriate jurisdiction or to comply with rules of conduct required by regulatory bodies.

Retention Duration of Personal Data

Personal Data is retained as needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or for a period required by local (Provincial/State) or Federal law. DWS will keep your Personal Data, as follows:

  • Information about your visits to and use of this website shall be kept only for as long as your use of this website.
  • Information from your subscription to our website and/or newsletters shall be kept until you unsubscribe to them. We may contact you periodically to seek for the renewal of your approval of us keeping such information.
  • Information relevant to transactions between you and DWS shall be stored for the lifespan of the transaction or contract and for as long as is necessary for the pursuit of legal claims or required by law in areas noted above.
